Day 35: Kisi Ka Sawal Batana (Indirect Questions: "Asked" Rule) ❓
Suno Wajid, jab hum kisi ke sawal ko Indirect Speech mein batate hain, toh "Said" badal kar ASKED ho jata hai. Aur yahan ek aur mazedari hai: Sawal, sawal nahi rehta balki ek simple sentence ban jata hai.
Wajid ki Tip #35: No "That" for Questions
Yaad rakho, sawalon mein hum THAT ka use nahi karte!
1. Agar sawal Wh- (What, Where, Why) se shuru ho raha hai, toh wahi word bridge ka kaam karega.
2. Agar sawal Yes/No wala hai (Is, Do, Can), toh hum IF ya WHETHER ka bridge lagate hain.
1. Wh- Questions (Where, What, How) 📝
Isme sawal wala word (Where/What) bridge ban jata hai aur sentence seedha ho jata hai:
| Direct Question | Indirect Question | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| He said, "Where is Ali?" | He asked where Ali was. | Usne pucha ke Ali kahan tha. |
| She asked, "What are you doing?" | She asked what I was doing. | Usne pucha ke main kya kar raha tha. |
2. Yes/No Questions (Is, Can, Do) - Use of "IF"
Jab sawal ka jawab haan ya naa mein ho, toh IF lagayein:
- Direct: He said, "Do you like tea?"
Indirect: He asked if I liked tea. - Direct: Mom asked, "Are you hungry?"
Indirect: Mom asked if I was hungry.
3. Important Rule: Sentence Structure
Wajid, Indirect mein "Helping Verb" (Was, Were) Subject ke **BAAD** aata hai, pehle nahi. Hum sawal nahi pooch rahe, balki bata rahe hain ke sawal kya tha.
Ghalti: He asked where was Ali. ❌
Sahi: He asked where Ali was. ✅
Vocabulary Hack:
Aap "Asked" ki jagah Inquired (puchtach ki) ya Wanted to know (janna chahta tha) bhi use kar sakte hain.
Day 35 Homework:
Aaj aapko 3 sawal likhne hain jo kal aapse kisi ne puche hon, aur unhe Indirect mein badalna hai. Jaise: "My boss asked if I had finished the task." Kal milenge Chapter 36 mein jahan hum **"Requests & Commands" (To Rule)** sikhenge!
Very good Wajid! Level 5 ka ye mushkil hissa bhi tumne asani se samajh liya. ✨🚀
